*SUMMARY:*
The IT Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing customer service and first-line technical assistance and support for all LLTC employees and students.
*EDUCATION:*
Associates Degree is preferred or equivalent education/experience with knowledge of Information Technology concepts and applications.
*ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:*
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Experience with audio visual and other classroom equipment
· Experience providing support for Microsoft Windows Office 365 applications.
· Experience with Canvas, or other learning management systems
· Experience working in an educational setting.
· Understanding, knowledge of, and commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of LLTC.
· Demonstrated commitment to serving students from diverse backgrounds, interests, goals, and abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a self-starter.
· Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
· Ability to interpret, adapt; and apply guidelines and procedures.
· Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
· Ability to work effectively as a team member of LLTC.
· Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background checks.
· Native American Preference.
*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Serve as primary point of contact for the IT Department for support issues
· Provide excellent customer service and follow through to each of our customers.
· Manage IT ticketing system including logging tickets, monitoring, and ensuring that each customer request is properly resolved.
· Advise and assist end users with the operation and use of software systems.
· Configure new computers and printers.
· Assist in response to requests by telephone, email, or Helpdesk work requests.
· Document solutions upon completion of tasks.
· Maintain records, schedules, and files as appropriate to the needs of the department.
· Cross train in other IT areas for additional coverage and general knowledge of IT duties.
· Serves on various college committees and participates in professional organizations as appropriate to assignment.
· Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
*LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:* Valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and use proper body mechanics
Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Subject to internal working conditions.
