Description: Credit Analyst Yanmar Compact Equipment North America designs, manufactures and supports a complete range of compact equipment including compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders and construction equipment for use in such markets as construction, landscaping, utility, land management and agriculture.
The products are sold primarily through a third party, independent dealer network.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, possess and demonstrate solid leadership abilities, safety hazard recognition and mitigation abilities to ensure a safe work environment, a bias for quality, ability to properly articulate and reinforce our core values, maturity in treating others with dignity and respect, high integrity, natural team player, and show energy and motivation for accomplishing goals and continuous improvement.
OVERVIEW: The Credit Analyst will ensure exposure and risk to Yanmar Compact Equipment North America is limited by obtaining financial data for the use of maintaining records and making sound business decisions while assisting customer and YCENA personnel in facilitating the sale of products.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Interface with management and sales teams within the organization to communicate credit decisions and ensure timely review of new customers.
Enhance the overall cash flow of the company by collecting on open charge accounts in a timely manner while maintaining a professional relationship with the customer.
Ahere to written policy documentation related to the credit and customer set up process.
Contact banks, trade reporting agencies, trade credit references, salespeople, and others to obtain necessary credit information.
Resolve credit and collections issues as needed with customers.
Ensure all reporting tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or experience: · Associate degree in a business-related field.
· 2-4 years of collections experience, preferably in the assembly or manufacturing sector.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Understanding of business credit reporting agencies, UCC, and floor planning programs.
· Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
· Manages time effectively, remains organized in all circumstances.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Experience with Integrated ERP system (Epicor 10 ERP preferred).
TRAVEL Must be able to travel on an occasional basis.
Valid driver's license required.
